89/366 Overcoming fear

My daughter has always been incredibly tentative whenever it has come to trying anything at all darning. It took her forever to work up the courage to slide down a slide. It took years before she worked up the courage to jump in a bouncy castle. In a lot of ways this has made my life easier as a parent -- no emergency room visits so far (knock on wood). But her tentativeness meant that she was missing out on some of what makes childhood special. Over the past year or so, she has started to come overcome this tentativeness and fear, and it has been so fun to watch. I took the picture below because I was struck in the moment how far she has really come to overcoming her fear.
