165/366 Special day at the South Carolina Aquarium

I am always amazed at how much of a sponge my six-year-old daughter is when it comes to learning about science. We were at the South Carolina Aquarium today and one of the staff members asked her what she knew about sharks. My daughter went on to explain why sharks are important to the ocean's food web and that if they disappear, it could lead to many smaller ocean creatures eventually dying from starvation. I'm not exactly sure where she learned this, but I was so proud of her. And the aquarium staff was impressed as well. They invited us to come up to the third floor, above the giant aquarium to learn more about how they feed the different species. I love the look on her face as she gets to learn from Alicia from the aquarium staff.
