52/366 We made ourselves breakfast

After getting out of bed this morning this scene below is the first thing I saw. My six-year-old daughter and three-year-old son prepared breakfast for themselves. They got out their own bowls, selected and poured their own cereals, poured their own milk, and sat down for a nice breakfast -- all before my wife or I rolled out of bed. Seeing them eating was one of those bittersweet moments as a father when I get a sense of pride that my kids are maturing into independent kids, but I also feel some sadness knowing that they are becoming less and less dependent upon me.
